Pickleball leagues

Run your pickleball league.

Team or individual pickleball: doubles lines, best of 3 games to 11, captains enter scores from the court, and standings that keep themselves.

What is the best app to run a pickleball league?

For a team league with doubles lines, or a flex league of individual players, Beleeg fits well: best of 3 games to 11 is set up for you, captains enter scores from their phones, and standings update when the other captain confirms. It is free for organizers; when a player pays online, Beleeg keeps a flat $3.

If your players need official DUPR ratings from league play, Beleeg is not that: it keeps its own ratings and does not send results to DUPR.

Scoring

How pickleball scoring works in Beleeg

Each line plays best of 3 games to 11, win by 2. You can switch to games to 15 or 21, or one game to 11 when courts are short.

A match is 3 doubles lines by default, anywhere from 1 to 5, and singles lines are an option. Captains enter each game’s score, Beleeg checks it is a real pickleball score, and the other captain confirms.

Beleeg records game scores. Rally or side-out serving is up to your players on the court.

Lineups

Lineups and rosters

Captains put a pair on each line. You can require lines to follow player ratings, limit how far a player moves between lines, and set a minimum number of women for mixed play.

For ratings, Beleeg can show a 2.0 to 8.0 scale pickleball players know, moving after every result. It is Beleeg’s own rating, not DUPR.

A league can also be played by individual players instead of teams.

Standings

Standings and tiebreaks

You pick how a match turns into standings points when you set up the league: a point for every line won, a point for winning the match, or a point per line plus a bonus for winning the match.

When two teams have the same points, Beleeg looks at head-to-head first, then lines won minus lines lost, then games, then points, then win percentage. Set and game difference only count once every team has set-by-set scores for every match, so nobody is ranked on numbers that were never entered. You can put these in a different order in your settings.

A season, start to finish

Example: a 10-week summer league

  1. 12 teams in three skill divisions, 3 lines a match, one night a week.
  2. Players register and pay online, or join a team with a code.
  3. Beleeg builds the schedule; captains can ask to move a match and you approve it, or you let captains agree between themselves.
  4. The top 4 in each division play a single-elimination playoff seeded from the standings.

What every league gets

  • A schedule built from how many games each team plays and which nights you play. Block out a date and the season moves back instead of losing a game.
  • Captains enter scores from their phones, and the other captain confirms or disputes.
  • Divisions, and a single-elimination playoff seeded from the standings.
  • Players join with a code or register and pay online. Free for organizers; Beleeg keeps a flat $3 when a player pays online.
  • A public page with your schedule and standings.
  • Already running a league somewhere else? Send us what you have and we move it over for you.

What Beleeg does not do for pickleball

  • Beleeg does not connect to DUPR. Its pickleball ratings are its own.
  • Scores are entered game by game, not rally by rally.
