Softball leagues
Run your softball league.
Rec softball without the binder: seven innings, a mercy rule you set, a co-ed rule you can switch on, and standings nobody has to tally.
What is the best app to run a softball league?
For an adult rec or co-ed softball league, Beleeg is a good fit: innings and a mercy rule are set up, a co-ed rule can check lineups, captains enter the final from their phones, and standings update on their own. It is free for organizers; Beleeg keeps a flat $3 when a player pays online.
If you want box scores and batting averages, you need a stat-keeping app; Beleeg records the final score only.

Game over after 5: mercy rule
Scoring
How softball scoring works in Beleeg
Games are 7 innings by default; you can change the number. There are no ties; extra innings decide it.
The mercy rule is on by default: a 10-run lead after 5 innings ends the game. You can change both numbers or turn it off. When a score meets the rule, Beleeg asks the captain to confirm the game ended early before it saves.
Captains enter the final runs from the dugout, and the other captain confirms.
Lineups
Lineups and rosters
Rosters have 10 starters and a bench. For co-ed leagues you can require a minimum number of women on the field and choose whether a short lineup gets a note or cannot be turned in.
Standings
Standings and tiebreaks
A win is worth 2 points and a loss 0. You can change the points in your settings.
When two teams have the same points, Beleeg looks at head-to-head first, then runs scored minus runs allowed, then runs scored. You can put these in a different order in your settings.
A season, start to finish
Example: a co-ed summer league
- 12 teams in two divisions, Sunday games on three fields.
- Beleeg builds the schedule. Block out holiday weekends and the season moves back instead of losing a game.
- Weather warnings show on upcoming games at US fields, with one tap to move a game.
- The top 8 play a single-elimination playoff seeded from the standings.
What every league gets
- A schedule built from how many games each team plays and which nights you play. Block out a date and the season moves back instead of losing a game.
- Captains enter scores from their phones, and the other captain confirms or disputes.
- Divisions, and a single-elimination playoff seeded from the standings.
- Players join with a code or register and pay online. Free for organizers; Beleeg keeps a flat $3 when a player pays online.
- A public page with your schedule and standings.
- Already running a league somewhere else? Send us what you have and we move it over for you.
What Beleeg does not do for softball
- Beleeg does not keep batting stats or a pitch count. Captains enter the final score.
- There is no bat-rule or sanctioning-body check.
Softball questions
Does Beleeg handle the softball mercy rule?
Yes. It is 10 runs after 5 innings by default and you can change it or turn it off. When a captain enters a score that meets the rule, Beleeg asks them to confirm the game ended early before it saves.
