Tennis leagues

Run your tennis league.

Team tennis without the group texts: captains set lineups line by line, enter scores set by set, and the standings update on their own.

What is the best app to run a tennis league?

For a club or community team league played on lines, Beleeg is a good fit: set scoring with a 7-point tiebreak is ready, captains enter scores set by set from their phones, and standings update when the other captain confirms. It is free for organizers; Beleeg keeps a flat $3 when a player pays online.

If your league runs under USTA and needs NTRP levels checked, you still need USTA’s own system; Beleeg does not connect to it.

Scoring

How tennis scoring works in Beleeg

Each line plays best of 3 sets, 6 games a set, win by 2, with a 7-point tiebreak at 6-all.

You can switch to no-ad games, a 10-point tiebreak in place of the third set, best of 5 sets, or Fast4 (sets to 4).

A match is 4 doubles lines by default, from 1 to 7, and singles lines are an option. Captains enter each set; the other captain confirms or disputes.

Lineups

Lineups and rosters

Captains put players on lines before each match. You can require lines to follow a rating order, limit how far a player moves between lines, and set a minimum number of women for mixed leagues.

You can ask captains to have lineups approved by a league admin before they lock.

A league can also be singles players competing on their own instead of teams.

Standings

Standings and tiebreaks

You pick how a match turns into standings points when you set up the league: a point for every line won, a point for winning the match, or a point per line plus a bonus for winning the match.

When two teams have the same points, Beleeg looks at head-to-head first, then lines won minus lines lost, then sets, then games, then win percentage. Set and game difference only count once every team has set-by-set scores for every match, so nobody is ranked on numbers that were never entered. You can put these in a different order in your settings.

A season, start to finish

Example: a club team league

  1. 6 teams, 4 lines a match, Saturday mornings from April to August.
  2. Beleeg builds a round robin. Blocked-out dates push the season later instead of dropping a match.
  3. Captains can offer a new date for a rained-out match; you approve it or let the two captains agree.
  4. The season ends with a single-elimination playoff for the top 4.

What every league gets

  • A schedule built from how many games each team plays and which nights you play. Block out a date and the season moves back instead of losing a game.
  • Captains enter scores from their phones, and the other captain confirms or disputes.
  • Divisions, and a single-elimination playoff seeded from the standings.
  • Players join with a code or register and pay online. Free for organizers; Beleeg keeps a flat $3 when a player pays online.
  • A public page with your schedule and standings.
  • Already running a league somewhere else? Send us what you have and we move it over for you.

What Beleeg does not do for tennis

  • Beleeg does not connect to USTA or look up NTRP ratings.
  • There are no built-in play-up rules for NTRP levels.
